Mrs.
Laurie Huger
Mrs. Huger was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She
received her BA in Speech Pathology from James Madison
University and her Master’s in Education from Gallaudet
University. This will be her eighteenth year teaching, her
eleventh at Lourdes. She has taught at the middle and high
school levels, both regular and special education. She is the
middle school girls’ lacrosse coach here at Lourdes. She is an
OLL parishioner and is married with two children, Ben and Lane,
both OLL graduates and students at Cardinal Gibbons. In her
spare time, Mrs. Huger enjoys watching her children’s sporting
events, going to the beach, reading and running.
Mrs. Chris Brennan
Mrs. Brennan is happy to be returning to Our Lady of Lourdes for her twelfth year. She earned a BS in Education at Slippery Rock State University, and did her graduate work at Pennsylvania State University. She is originally from Saint Marys, Pennsylvania, and relocated to Raleigh with her husband and two children eighteen years ago. Both of her children are graduates of OLL and Cardinal Gibbons High School.
She has twenty-six years of experience, having taught students in kindergarten through seventh grades, both regular and special education. She enjoys participating in outdoor activities such as skiing and biking, and she loves to travel. She loves third graders and is looking forward to a another terrific year at OLL.
Mrs. Joan Johnson - Assistant
Mrs. Johnson was raised in Fayetteville, NC. She earned a BA in History and High School Teacher's Certification at UNC-Greensboro. She worked in the travel industry with American Express until starting a family. After spending most of her time volunteering at OLLS, she decided it was time to join the staff and will tell everyone that she has the best job in the world!
Mrs. Johnson is married to Jeff, a pediatrician, and has two children, Meg here at OLLS and Chris at Cardinal Gibbons. She loves reading, volunteering, and jogging.
