Mr. Andy Pietrus

Mr. Pietrus was born in the Philippines and grew up in Minnesota. He is a graduate of Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and holds a BA in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College Annapolis, Maryland. After college he operated his own commercial cleaning business. After successfully growing and selling his business, Mr. Pietrus resumed his formal education at North Carolina State University earning a Masters in Education with a focus on Middle Grades Education and a minor in English. Additionally, Mr. Pietrus has graduate credits within the humanities from California State University Dominguez Hills, Seattle University, Ohio State, and The University of Minnesota.

Mr. Pietrus taught middle school at Our Lady of Lourdes from 1996-2001 and resumed teaching here in 2005. He has been nominated for several teaching awards such as The Sallie Mae First Class award for first year teachers and The Father Lewis award for excellence in teaching in the Diocese at Raleigh. Mr. Pietrus was awarded a Fulbright Memorial Scholarship to Japan. He has four children who occupy most of his free time but finds time to enjoy cooking, eating and outdoor pursuits. He looks forward to a time when he can once again enjoy foreign travel.

 

Mrs. Anne Schade

Mrs. Schade attended twelve years of Catholic school and holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. She is a certified math and science teacher for grades 6-12 in North Carolina.

This is Mrs. Schade's sixth year at Our Lady of Lourdes, prior to that she taught one year at a North Carolina public high school and eight years at an all boys day and resident highs school.
