Dr. Scripko originally hails from the Keystone State of Pennsylvania. With his father being in the military, Dr. Scripko attended schools in Pennsylvania, Washington, Virginia, and Japan. With a BA from Walsh University (Ohio), two master’s degrees from Gonzaga University (Washington), and a doctorate from Gonzaga, Dr. Scripko has spent a lot of his money on education and plenty of his time in the classroom as a student!
Because of his love of travel (visited six of the seven continents) and a desire to experience other cultures, Dr. Scripko has spent half of his educational career overseas—Tokyo, Japan; Repulse Bay, Hong Kong; Aberdeen, Scotland; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has also taught in Canton, Ohio, and Spokane, Washington. Dr. Scripko has taught on all educational levels—elementary, middle school, high school, and university.
In 1994 he became principal of Holy Family School in Seattle. Then in 1998 he became principal of St. Alphonsus School in Seattle. Believing that his work was completed in Seattle and wanting to get closer to his parents in Orlando, Florida, he accepted the principalship at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Raleigh. Dr. Bob is extremely pleased to be starting his fourth year at OLL, a school where children come first!
