Melissa Triano is originally from Long Island, NY, and moved with her family to North Carolina when she was young.  She has been a resident of North Carolina since the late 1980’s.  She is alumni of Our Lady of Lourdes School, and Cardinal Gibbons High School here in Raleigh.  She attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  She holds a BA in Communications (concentration in Organizational Communications) and a BA in English Literature.   She worked in the corporate marketing field for several years before jumping back into her true passion which is working with children.  Within the last few years she received the NC credential for Early Childhood.  In addition to being our LEAP Director, she is one of the teachers at St. Raphael’s Early Childhood Center half day preschool.   As alumni she is proud to be back at Our Lady of Lourdes School as LEAP Director.  In her free time she enjoys volunteering on several committees, being an assistant den leader for her nephew’s Cub Scout pack, and enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs, extended family and friends.
