CLASS SIZE
Class sizes vary depending on enrollment for the particular year. Kindergarten, first and second grade classes have one full-time teacher and one full-time teacher assistant. Third and fourth grade classes have one teacher per class and a shared part-time teacher assistant.
CLASS STRUCTURE
Grades one through five are self-contained classes. The students stay with the same teacher throughout the day with the exception of specialized classes. Grades six through eight are departmentalized. The students at all grade levels have special teachers for Spanish, art, music, computer, and physical education. The students have the opportunity weekly to go to the school library. Algebra is offered to the eighth grade students who qualify for this advanced math program. Remedial help is available in reading and in math.
