Mrs. Brooks was born and raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts. She relocated to Nashua, New Hampshire, where she raised her two sons who have recently graduated from college in the past six years. While in New Hampshire she was a teacher assistant at St. Joseph Regional Junior High School.  In 2000, Mrs. Brooks and her husband moved to the Raleigh area where she worked as a computer instructor at Cathedral School for four years.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband.  Mrs. Brooks resides in Knightdale with her husband, Ray.
