RenWeb Frequently Asked Questions

1.  What is RenWeb?

RenWeb is our new web based Student Information Software.  As parents, this software will allow you to:

1.      Access your student’s grades online (if your child’s teacher is using the
gradebook portion)

2.      Access your student’s homework online (if your child’s teacher is using the online homework portion)

3.      Access the school calendar online

4.      Access the family directory, including email addresses, online

5.   Update your contact information, including emergency contacts, online

RenWeb is also capable of doing more things, and as we all become more familiar with it we will be implementing more features.

2.  How do I access it?

- Make sure you have sent an email using your email address to
contactinfo@olls.org

-  Directions for logging on the first time are available here on the OLLS website.  They were also included in the Wednesday Mailer on Sept. 5th.

3.  Can I use more than one email address?

Yes, however, please send us just one address.  After you receive log in directions on your primary email, you will be able to add additional addresses whenever you need to.

4.  I put my email address on my emergency contact form.  Do I still need to send an email?

Yes, please!  Emergency forms are kept in the office.  Mrs. Getter is updating
email addresses when she can, which is sometimes at home.  It is much easier for her to copy them from the account then to take home emergency cards!  And it also insures your email address is accurate.  Once the initial email collection is done, all of your address/emergency information can be updated online.

5.  When I logged into RenWeb, I noticed that some of my information was missing or incorrect.  Did the school lose my information?

The RenWeb database was built for us by RenWeb using our existing database that
Patty Brooks maintains in the office.  Some of the data may have been lost during the
transfer, and since the don’t know our families as well as we do, you may find some
errors.  Please be sure that we do have your correct information in our main database.  If
you would please correct any errors you find online – it will automatically generate an
email to us letting us know there was an error.  Eventually, RenWeb will be our only
database.  We appreciate your assistance in making it as up to date and accurate as
possible, and your patience as we try to gather all of our data into once place.

6.  I'm having trouble, should I call the school office?

Despite the directions saying to call the office, the best way to get help is by sending an
email to Mrs. Getter (sgetter at olls.org).  Whereas she's not usually accessible by
phone during the day, she does keep her email open and checks it quite frequently,
and will often get back to you within a few minutes.  She will also try to check her email
in the evening, when most questions will occur!
